Installing Personal AI SEO

Get the plugin running on your WordPress site in under 10 minutes. Follow these steps in order.

Sign up and get your credentials

Create an account at personalaiseo.com/signup. After signing up, go to your Dashboard. You will see your Backend URL and Operator Key in the Setup Guide section — you will need these in Step 3.

Download and install the plugin

Download the plugin ZIP file from your dashboard, then follow these steps in WordPress:

  1. 1In your WordPress admin sidebar, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
  2. 2Click Upload Plugin at the top of the page.
  3. 3Click Choose File, select the Personal_SEO_AI.zip file you downloaded, then click Install Now.
  4. 4Once installed, click Activate Plugin.

Enter your Backend URL and Operator Key

After activation, a new Personal SEO menu will appear in your WordPress sidebar.

  1. 1Go to Personal SEO → Settings.
  2. 2Paste your Backend URL into the Backend URL field.
  3. 3Paste your Operator Key into the Operator Key field.
  4. 4Click Save Settings. The plugin will connect to the server and run its first crawl automatically.
Where to find your credentials: Log in to your dashboard at personalaiseo.com/dashboard. Your Backend URL and Operator Key are shown in the Setup Guide section. Use the Copy button next to each field.

Connect Google Search Console (recommended)

Connecting Google Search Console lets the AI use your real search data — impressions, clicks, and rankings — to prioritise which pages need the most attention and write better suggestions.

  1. 1In your WordPress admin, go to Personal SEO → Settings.
  2. 2Scroll down to Step 2 — Google Search Console.
  3. 3Click Connect Google Search Console and follow the authorisation flow.
  4. 4Once connected, the plugin will start pulling GSC data automatically.

Generate SEO suggestions

With the plugin connected, you can start generating AI-written SEO titles and meta descriptions for your pages.

  1. 1Go to Personal SEO → Generate SEO.
  2. 2Use the filters to narrow down pages — for example, pages missing a title, missing a meta description, or all pages.
  3. 3Select the pages you want to optimise, or click Queue All Matching to select everything in the current filter.
  4. 4Click Generate Selected. The AI will generate suggestions in the background — you can leave the page and come back.

Review and approve suggestions

Nothing goes live until you approve it. Every suggestion goes into a review queue first.

  1. 1Go to Personal SEO → Last Batch Approvals.
  2. 2Review each suggestion. You can edit the text directly in the field before approving.
  3. 3Click Approve on suggestions you are happy with. They are written to your WordPress site immediately — no extra publishing step.
  4. 4Click Reject to discard a suggestion and generate a fresh one later.
